Ruth Dutton Mrs. Lill

ROCKINGHAM - Mrs. Ruth Dutton Lill, 84, died Friday, March28, 2014 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, March 31, 2014 at Sweet Haven Church with Rev. David Rollins and Rev. Henry Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Richmond County Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the church on Monday and other times at the home. Ruth was born March 10, 1930 in Anson County, NC one of twelve children born to the late Charles Marshall and Hattie Freeman Dutton. She had worked for many years in the textile industry having retired from Forrester Manufacturing in Maxton. She was a devoted member of Rockingham Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed reading, Raider football and quilting. Surviving are her children, Susan Lill (Mike) Craven of Ellerbe, Shirley Lill (Boyce) O'Tuel, Vicki Lill (Bubba) Idol, Richard Wayne Lill, Bopper (Lisa) Lill and Tommy (Shamain) Lill all of Rockingham; her grandchildren, Michelle, Linnie, Lisah, Kevin, Carey, Chase, Courtney, Nicki, Whitney, Shane, Brent, Grayson and Stuart; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Chandler, Mickey, Alex, Hunter, Kim, Nicole, Carly, Chloe, Kaylee and Brystol; and her great-great-grandchild, Alyana. Also surviving are her brothers and sister, John Henry Dutton of Sanford, Marvin Dutton of Pageland, SC and Martha Scott of Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 37 years, Ralph L. Lill, Sr. and by her sisters and brothers, Ina England, Mary Adams, Bill, Raymond, Sam, Walter, Marion, and Lewis Dutton. Memorials may be made to Rockingham Wesleyan Church, 618 N.
