Sadie Griffin Gaddy

On Monday, June 10, 2019, in her sleep at her home, Mrs. Sadie Mae Griffin Gaddy, 70, passed from this earthly life to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born August 9, 1948 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late Ed Griffin and the late Annie Belle Brace Griffin. She worked for many years in domestic housekeeping in Charlotte and had worked for 34 years at Williams Dry Cleaners in Monroe. She was a faithful member of the Power House of Deliverance Church in Wadesboro. She loved gospel music and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Surviving are her daughter, Annie Cornelia Griffin (David Willoughby); her grandchildren, Tamesha Griffin (Landon Heath), Crystal Griffin, Danielle Willoughby, Carmello Willoughby, Edward Hudson and Jonathan Hudson; her sister, Cathy Griffin; her brothers, Edmond Junior Griffin and Larry Griffin; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Daisy Lee Garris, John Garris, Gloria Gaddy, John Gaddy and Ruby Gaddy; 20 great-grandchildre; her aunts, Mary Griffin and Corrine Griffin; and special family friends, George Jackson and Perlie Mae Little and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Church of God of Prophecy Church Cemetery in Morven.
