WADESBORO - Mr. Samuel Howard Mac McLendon, 60, died Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, August 1, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. Mac was born July 5, 1956 in Bossier Parish, LA at Barksdale Air Force Base Hospital and was a son of Lois Beth Wailes McLendon and the late Samuel Levander McLendon, Major, US Air Force Retired. Surviving are his children, Shannon McLendon and David McLendon both of Wadesboro; his grandchildren, Summer and Skylar Grooms, Cheyenne Hart, Alex, Heather, Chasity, Maddison, Caley and Mason McLendon; his brothers and sister, Joel McLendon of Wadesboro, Gene McLendon of Goldsboro and Elaine Cansler of Myrtle Beach, SC.
