ALBEMARLE – On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Mrs. Sandra Still Carpenter, 71, passed away peacefully at her home.
There will be a memorial service at 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2022, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
A private inurnment will be in Anson Memorial Park later.
Sandra was born August 9, 1951, in Stanly County, NC and was a daughter of the late William Clarence Still and the late Arlene Oliver Lisk. She attended schools in both Anson and Stanly Counties and graduated from South Stanley High School, where she was a cheerleader.
She and her late husband, Ervin owned and operated Carpenter’s Auto Electric in Wadesboro.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Kim Morgan (Mitch Dibble) of Laurinburg, Jason Carpenter and Dallas Jarrell (Jaime) both of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Cody Sellers (Megan), Garrett Carpenter, Gracie Carpenter, Adison Jarrell and Danny Dribble; her great-grandchildren, Xan Seller, Lilly Sellers and Oliver Sellers; her sisters and brother, Sheila Harrington (Gary) of Morven, Susan Walton (Don) of Foxfire and Billy Still (Nancy) Still of Danville, VA and her friend and companion, Ed Nance of Chesterfield, SC.
Sandra had a strong faith in God and believed in the power of prayer. She would often pray for the concerns of those she loved and others she did not know.
She had many interests, she enjoyed antique shopping, working in her yard, bargain hunting, boating at Lake Tillery, and caring for her animals.
Sandra was a loving caregiver for her husband and her mother. She dearly loved spending time with her grandbabies.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly and the Uwharrie, 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001.
