Sara Goodwin Sally Mrs. Outen

Gastonia - Mrs. Sally Goodwin, 98, formerly of Wadesboro, passed Wednesday, January 14, 2015, in the Peak Resources Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 4:00PM Sunday, January 18, 2015, in the Olivet United Methodist Church with Rev. Cindy Lunsford officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Sara was born in Anson County on September 4, 1916, a daughter of the late Johnny Randolph and Susie Vaughn Goodwin. She was a retired textile worker. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Measimer. Survivors include a half-sister-in-law, Azile Goodwin; half-brothers, Henry Goodwin and Houston Goodwin; half-sisters, Myrtle Kelly, and Edna Johnson; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Peak Resources, Inc. for their exceptional love and care of Sally. Sally will surely be missed by family and friends that have loved and cared for her over the years.
