MORVEN - Mrs. Sara Eddins Robinson, 88, died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Weddington Park Assisted Living in Matthews. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mrs. Bonnie Morgan officiating. Interment will following in Bethel Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. Sara was born July 2, 1927 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Walter Sanford Eddins the late Hester Baker Eddins. She was a graduate of Morven High School and was a rural mail carrier for 34 years, having worked at both Morven and Wadesboro Post Offices. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and served the church as organist. She also served as organist at New Hope United Methodist Church and Morven Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her children, Janice Robinson Truman and husband, Bill of Tar Heel, Rick Robinson of Charlotte and Ron Robinson and wife, Nancy of Morven; her grandchildren, Dr. Lea Truman Drye and husband, Clay of Ellicott City, MD, Dr. Chris Truman and wife, Kate of Laurel, MD, Kim Truman McVicker of Elizabethtown, Neil Robinson of Lexington, SC and Laura Robinson of Morven; her 7 great-grandchildren and her brothers-in-law, Lester Williamson of Morven and Jack Thomas of Oakboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cedric Poe Robinson, son, Jerry Robinson and sisters and brothers, Pauline Gathings, Everette Eddins, Jean Snuggs, Peggy Thomas, Lois Williamson and Jimmy Eddins. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
