Sara Mull Shaver

WADESBORO - Mrs. Sara Mull Shaver, 97, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Senter officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Sara was born January 11, 1919 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Dock James Mull and the late Viray Virginia Martin Mull. She retired as sewing room supervisor from Saucony in Chesterfield, SC after 26 years of service. She dearly loved her family at First Baptist Church, Wadesboro and her Sunday school class and enjoyed cooking, flowers and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her son and daughter -in-law, Clarence and Nam Brock of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Moran D. Mclendon, III and wife, Nancy of Pittsboro, William Liles McLendon of Wadesboro, Melanie McLendon Crutchfield and husband, Stephen of Ft. Mill, SC, Sherwood Brock McLendon and husband, John of Charlotte, Robert Lee Brock and wife, Lori of Midlothian, VA and Sarah Brock Ward of Huntersville; her great-grandchildren, Robert Chandler Kohn of Houston, TX, Lennox McLendon Kohn of Washington, DC, Wesley Kurt Meachum of Wilmington and Brittany Carolyn Durham of Midlothian, VA; her great-great-grandson, Zayden Seltzer of Midlothian, VA and her nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence William Brock and Pines Davis Pete Shaver, daughter, Doris Brock McLendon and her brothers and sisters, Everette Mull, Vernard Mull, Charles Mull, Jerry Mull, Walter Mull, Irma Mull and Bertha Mull Lawing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
