Sarah Poorbaugh Mrs. Boyer

Wadesboro - Mrs. Sarah Poorbaugh Boyer, 87, died Friday, January 24, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Gerald officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM and other times at the home. Sarah was born January 19, 1927, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, a daughter of the late Etta Geary and Raymond Elias Poorbaugh. She was homemaker and was married to the late Joseph Randall Boyer who died in 1998. Survivors include: her children, Ray Boyer (Shirley), Joe Boyer Jr. and Bud Boyer (Sue) all of Wadesboro, Nancy Jean Starlings of Pulaski, VA, Albert E. Boyer of Mayodan, NC and Hazel M. Allred (Roger) of Stanfield; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, Raymond Poorbaugh of Blairsville, PA and a number of nieces and nephews.
