MORVEN - Mrs. Sarah Henry Diggs, 92, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Whitlow and Rev. Larry King officiating. Interment will follow in Morven Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Sarah was born April 8, 1924 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late William Arthur Henry and the late Lula Grooms Henry. She was retired from Glen Manufacturing and attended Morven Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Susan Pratt of Wadesboro, Marilyn Burr and husband, Keith of Chesterfield, SC and Faye Diggs of Cheraw, SC; her grandsons, Bruce Johnson and Jimmy Johnson and wife, Jennifer both of Wadesboro; her great-grandchildren, Kaylan Johnson of Apex, Kyle Johnson and Maverlee Johnson both of Wadesboro; her great-great-grandson, Tydus Simmons of Apex and her brother, Mark Henry and wife, Mandy of Peltzer, SC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard LeGrand Diggs and brothers and sister, James, William, Haywood and Herbert Henry and Pat Rippy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 128 S Tryon St #1588, Charlotte, NC 28202. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
