Sarah Ratliff Livingston

            Cheraw, SC – Mrs. Sarah Ratliff Livingston, age 91, slipped away peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday, March 28, 2022, while resting at home with her family.

            A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in McFarlan, NC, with Rev. Lonnie Grose officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends before the service in the church beginning at 2:00PM.

            Born in Anson County on May 17, 1930, Sarah was one of ten children born the late James Franklin and Lena Shoemaker Ratliff. She was a graduate of local public schools before embarking on a career with First National Bank which later became Southern National Bank. She retired with over 30 years of service to the bank and her community.

            Survivors include two sons, Hugh Livingston (Lib) of Cheraw, and Jerry Livingston (Tilly) of Murrells Inlet; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Joe Ratliff and her sister, Clara Hendrick.

            In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Livingston, in 2019 along with her siblings – Frank, Monroe, Myrtle, Floyd, Lena, Johnny, and Guy.

            The family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Sarah.
