Shelba Jean Bowman Liles Mrs. Poplin

WADESBORO - Mrs. Shelba Jean Bowman Liles Poplin, 76, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, December 10, 2015 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lilesville Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home. Shelba Jean was born February 12, 1939 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Herman and Annie Dutton Bowman. She was retired from B.C. Moore and Sons Corporate Office with more than 20 years of service. Surviving are her children, Susan Liles (Gene) Tucker of Polkton and Fredrick (Donna) Liles of Ansonville; her grandchildren, Linda Greene of Chester, SC, Will (Lisa) Tucker of Marshville, Brooke (Brad) James, Jeremy (Jennifer) Liles, Orry (Whitney) Liles and Cody Liles all of Polkton; 4 great-grandchildren; her sister, Ann (Stephen) Moody of Spartanburg, SC and a special niece, Lydia Bowman of Chester, SC In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Brooks 'Freddie' Liles and Billy C. Poplin, daughters, Jean Liles Beachum and Carol Liles Lawhorne and brother, Charles Bowman. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Meadowview Terrace for the loving care they gave Shelba Jean while she was a resident there.
