Shirley Bunn Ratliff

WADESBORO - On Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Mrs. Shirley Bunn Ratliff, 71, passed away peacefully at Meadowview Terrace Assisted Living in Wadesboro.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 16, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. 

The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home.

Shirley was born December 8, 1952, in Anson County, NC, the daughter of the late Pearl Franklin Bunn and the late Julia Wynell Griffin. She attended Anson County Schools and worked with her husband as a long-distance truck driver.

Those who are left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stephanie Wilson (Gary Scott) of Ansonville; her grandchildren, John Caudle and Rebecca Caudle both of Jefferson, SC, and Abby Wilson and Emily Wilson both of Ansonville; her sister, Penny Bartholomew (Tim) of Denver; her half-brother, Brian Bunn (Shelly) of Charlotte, and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Stephen Ratliff, her daughter, Tonia Caudle, her sister, Vicki McCall and her step-mother, Kitty Bunn.

Because her parents are interred at Forestville Methodist Church Cemetery, the family requests in lieu of flowers and plants, memorials be made to Forestville Cemetery Fund, c/o  Joanne Clark, 1781 Clark Mtn. Rd., Lilesville, NC 28091.
