Shirley Price Hough

Lilesville- Mrs. Shirley Price Hough, 80, died Friday, December 8, 2017 at her home in Lilesville. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Lilesville Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home. Shirley was born August 22, 1937 in Richmond County, NC a daughter of the late William Lee Price and Edith Morton Price Crump. She had over 35 years of service with Gilead Mfg. before it closed and then worked 18 years as a substitute teacher with Anson County Schools. Shirley was a faithful member of Lilesville Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend by all who knew her. Shirley loved going on fishing trips and traveling with her family. Surviving are her husband, James Thomas Hough of the home, her children, Michael (Audrey) Lawhon, Mark (Donna) Lawhon and Pam Hough Stegall all of Lilesville; her grandchildren, Michael Lawhon, Elizabeth (AJ) Brown, Dustin Lawhon, Laura Lawhon, Ruby Lu Lawhon, Russell Hough, Wendy (Kevin) Burr and Kristin (Nick) Lewis; her great-grandchildren, Alexis Brown, Valerie Brown, Abigail Underwood, Noah Underwood, Jacob Lewis and James Lewis. Also surviving are her siblings, Katherine Price Ponds, Virrian (Betty) Crump, Lisa (Bo) Brock, Billie (Damon) Turley and Nancy (Sam) Dubose. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Mitchell Lawhon and Bobby Joe Hough. Memorials may be made to Lilesville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 305, Lilesville, NC 28091.
