WADESBORO Mrs. Shirley Cox Ingram, 77, died Sunday, December 15, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Forestville United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
Shirley was born June 25, 1942 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Houston Paul Cox and the late Myrtle Armentine Vaughn Cox. She was a graduate of Lilesville High School and had worked for a 20 years at Carls Food Center in Wadesboro as purchaser and later worked at Anson County Hospital as the switchboard operator and receptionist.
Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Gordon Ingram; her daughters and sons-in-law, Jill Ingram Holloman and Kenny of Hope Mills and Nicole Ingram Brower and Richard of Aberdeen; her grandchildren, Kaylee Dale Hall of Wilmington, Nicholas Anthony Hall of Hope Mills and Olivia Marie Brower of Aberdeen and her nieces and nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Ashley Vaughn Ingram and her brother and sisters, Houston Paul "Bud" Cox, Jr., Paula Cox McPhatter, Peggy Cox Williams and infant Margaret Ann Cox. .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forestville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 452, Lilesville, NC 28091.
