Susan Goodwin Bullard

Wadesboro - Mrs. Susan Goodwin Bullard, 60, passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, April 27, 2016, surrounded by her loving family following a short but courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday at Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Knotts and Mrs. Jane Livingston officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends at Leavitt Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Susan was born in Anson County on February 3, 1956, a daughter of Azile Berry Goodwin and the late Robert W. Goodwin. She graduated Bowman High School and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Anson Community College. Over the course of her career, she worked for Anson County Hospital, several nursing facilities in the Wadesboro area, and more recently for the NC Department of Public Safety at Lanesboro Correctional Facility. Survivors include her husband of nearly 35 years, Larry Bullard of the home; a son, Brandon Bullard of Wadesboro; her mother, Azile Goodwin of Wadesboro; one brother, Russell Goodwin (Debbie) of Polkton; four sisters-in-law, Sandra Pliescott (Woody) and Phyllis Goodwin all of Wadesboro, Vicky Bullard of Rockingham and Lynn Watts (Tommy) of Hamlet; a brother-in-law, Chris Bullard (Deane) of Rockingham; her mother-in-law, Rennie Watts of Rockingham; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
