WADESBORO – On Sunday, October 31, 2021, Mrs. Susan “Sue” Eileen Austin Fournier, 57, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend passed away peacefully at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.

There will be a memorial service at 6:00pm Friday, November 12, 2021 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service.

Sue was born October 19, 1964 in Long Beach, CA and was a daughter of Judith Stone Austin of Arcadia, FL and the late Howard Austin. She was a graduate of Burncoat High School in Worcester, MA.

In addition to her mother listed above, those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Bob Fournier, whom she married august 4, 1984 in Worcester, MA; her children, Meaghan Ball and husband, Dan of Whidbey Island, WA, R.J. Fournier and wife, Denisha of Monroe and Lauren Brandon and husband, David of Charlotte; her grandchildren, William, Ezra, Malahkai, Leilah, Makayla, Austin and Ducky; her sister and brothers, Hope Kasputis and husband, Phil of Shrewsbury, MA, Howard Austin of Oxford, MA and Scott Austin and wife, Terri of Dover, DE.

Sue was a mom to three children but a mother to many! Family requests those attending wear teal or any bright colors.

She has walked the stairway to Heaven. She was not struggling to breathe. No sadness ,no regrets. She had a smile on her face and joy in her heart, as she eyes gazed upon her Lord and Savior .Sue is at peace.
