Susie Maybrier Leckell

WADESBORO Mrs. Susie Maybrier Leckell, 61, died Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Atrium Health Pineville. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Cathedral Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Swaringen officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Leavitt Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter in the Brown Creek Community. Susie was born October 24, 1958 in Pineville, KY, a daughter of the late William Harvey Maybrier and the late Jessie Pearlann DeLong Maybrier. She was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, JoAnna Dougherty (Serge Matthey) of Wingate, Rebekah Carpenter (Jesse) of Polkton and Kayla Carpenter (Richard) of Wadesboro; her grandchildren, Keelee Scarborough, Harmony Scarborough, Harvey Garrison, Olivia Carpenter and Isaiah Carpenter; her brother, Harvey "Bo" Maybrier (Joann) of Barbourville, KY; her niece, Lindsey Muscari (Ben) of Charleston, WV and her other extended family members of both Kentucky and Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shauna Hale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Leavitt Funeral Home, P.O.
