Terry Mr. Jordan

Lilesville - Mr. Terry Jordan, 59, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center - Pineville. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Tuesday in Gum Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM. Terry was born in Anson county on October 2, 1955, a son of Cleveland Jordan, Jr. and the late Patsy Gulledge Jordan. He was retired from the NC Dept. of Transportation with 26 years of service. A member of Gum Springs Baptist Church, Terry faithfully served as a deacon and was available to perform or assist with any task the church required such as running the sound system. He loved kids and young people and that led him to coach Pop Warner football for a few years but he really excelled at coaching baseball which he did for over 25 years. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Becky Wright Jordan of the home; a daughter, Mandy Jordan of Patrick, SC; two sons, Mark Terry Jordan and Cory Dean Jordan both of the home; and four grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacob, Jason and Jesse. Also surviving is his father, Cleveland Jordan, Jr. of Wadesboro; two sisters, Cheri Tyson (Ronnie) of Wadesboro and Karen MacNulty (Jim) of Mocksville, NC. In addition to his mother, Patsy, Terry was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Davy Jordan, and a sister, Susan J. Harrington.
