Polkton - Terry Hinson Watson, the daughter of the late James B. and Minnie Clark Hinson, was born December 31, 1960 in Pageland, South Carolina. She departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Hospice of Union County in Monroe.
She attended Anson County Public Schools and after a lengthy career as a truck driver, she gained employment as a drive for Papa Johns, where she worked until declining health.
Terry was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family and friends.
Terry studied the Bible with Jehovahs Witnesses, where she learned to love Bible truths. She dedicated her life to God and was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in 2011.
She leaves to cherish her memory the following: From her union with the late, Franklin David Watson, four children, Timothy Joel Hinson (Erica) and Candace Camelia Hinson both of Monroe and Jared Aloysius Watson of Charlotte; they had one son, David Benjamin Watson to precede them in death. She has three grandchildren, Camille Watson and Simone Watson both of Hamlet, NC and Timothy Joel Hinson, Jr. of Monroe, NC.
Terry had five sisters, Barbara McKnight of Durham, NC, Thomasine Hinson of Covington, GA, Gwendolyn Little (Jerry) of Ansonville, NC, Vickie Petway (Don) of Kernersville, NC and Julia Merle who preceded her in death.
There are three brothers, James Leonard Hinson and Raymond Hinson (Cherly) both of Polkton, NC and Phillip Wayne Hinson of Monroe, NC and a sister-in-law, Yi Unchu Hinson and joining these in remembering Terry are many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service and other times at the home of her son, Tim Hinson in Monroe.
