WADESBORO - Mr. Thomas Ray Lisenby, 86, died Monday, March 3, 2014 at Ambassador Health and Rehab in Wadesboro.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Hanna Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jimmie Furr officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends following the service in the fellowship hall of the church.
Thomas was born March 18, 1927 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late Jefferson Davis and Lottie Adams Lisenby. He was a graduate of Deep Creek High School, was retired from having worked in textiles with a long career with Burlington Industries, a member of Hanna Chapel United Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Vickie Lisenby of Monroe, Don and Vicki Lisenby of Sarasota, FL and Mike and Sarah Lisenby of Wadesboro; his sister, Nannie Rivers of Chesterfield, SC; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Christine Hanna Lisenby and by his brothers and sisters, Albert, Perry, Lowden and Knowlton Roy Lisenby, Ethel Moore, Mary Belle Honeycutt and Dethane Molaro.
