Timothy Richard Lampley

CHARLOTTE Mr. Timothy Richard Lampley, 66, died Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Harris Hospice at Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Tim was born December 23, 1952 in Anson County, NC a son of the late Thomas Bennett Lampley and the late Mary Susan "Sue: Thompson Lampley. He was a graduate of Garinger High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College. He retired as a driver for the Charlotte Area Transportation System (CATS) and was a Star Wars enthusiast. Surviving are his sister, Dora Janette "Jan" Lampley of Fairmount, GA; his nieces, Jennifer Lynnette Salter of Powder Springs, GA and Mary Elizabeth Salter of Taylorsville, GA; 2 great-nephews and 5 great-nieces; his aunt, Elizabeth T. Foust of Siler City and his cousins, John Foust of Siler City and Dede Ashcraft of Lugoff, SC. The family plans to have a private memorial service at a later date with inurnment in Lilesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lilesville Cemetery, % Donna McAllister, P.O.
