Timothy Dale Tim Poteat

Mr. Timothy 'Tim' Dale Poteat, 50, died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Anson Community Hospital. Memorial services will be 3:00pm Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Hopewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul McClure officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the services at the church. Tim was born April 14, 1961 in Union County, NC a son of Patricia Mills Poteat Stutts of Georgia and the late Lawrence Edward Poteat. He had worked as a machinist at Cape Fear Machine Works and was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Melody Baucom Poteat of the home; his children, Jennifer Kellogg and husband, Jonathan, Tommy and Jacob Poteat all of Peachland; his granddaughter, Eliana Kellogg; his brother, Larry Poteat of Georgia and his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Margie Baucom of Peachland.
