WADESBORO – On Saturday, April 13, 2024, Mr. Timothy Otis Treadaway, 58, passed away peacefully at his home with his family gathered by his bedside.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Mr. Ken Caulder officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Seago Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at the funeral home.
Timothy was born May 6, 1965, in Anson County, NC, and was a son of the late Henry Clay “Snip” Treadaway, Jr. and the late Alberta Hall Teal Treadaway. He was a graduate of Bowman High School and was a veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves, having served two tours of duty during Operation Desert Storm.
As a young man, he worked with Winn Dixie in Wadesboro, starting as a bagboy and moving up to department manager. He also worked at Food King in Mt. Gilead as the store manager and last worked with Coca-Cola Bottling as a Route Salesman.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Clay Treadaway of Chesterfield, SC, Mike Treadaway and Derrick Treadaway both of Wadesboro; his sisters-in-law, Karen Treadaway and Soncerary Treadaway both of Wadesboro; his nieces and nephews, Brook Treadaway, Barry Treadaway, Jr., Star Treadaway, Michael Treadaway, Colton Treadaway and Kobe Treadaway and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Treadaway.
