Velena Goforth Jenks

Murfreesboro, TN - Mrs. Velena Goforth Jenks, age 42, daughter of Barbara and Larry Williamson of Morven, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at her home in Murfreesboro. Services will be 1:00pm Monday, April 9, 2018 by the graveside in Morven Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Threatt officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. Velena was born April 14, 1975 in Kings Mountain, NC a daughter of Barbara Whitted Williamson and the late Ben Edward Goforth, Sr. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Nicholas Jenks of the home; her son, Angel Martinez, III of the home; her parents, Barbara and Larry Williamson of Morven; her sister and brother, Sherry Johnson of Kannapolis and David Goforth of Morristown, TN and her niece and nephew, Kyley Darby of Charlotte, Brianna Wilks of Waynesville and Jeffery Wilks of Morristown, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Morven Baptist Church, P.O. Box 337, Morven, NC 28119. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
