Vernon Craig Hildreth

MONROE - On Friday, December 10, 2021, Mr. Vernon Craig Hildreth, 57, passed away at his home.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00am, Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Hildreth Family Cemetery, 1702 Tarpin Town Road, Polkton. The family will greet friends following the service.

Craig was born August 15, 1964 in Union County, NC and was a son of Vernetta Kay Papka Hildreth Susa and the late Clayton Maloy Hildreth. He was the owner and operator of H. Q. Metals (metal roofing) and Hildreth Construction and Farm.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Julius Hildreth of Monroe, Kristina Hinson (Trent) of New Salem and Cali Rae Powell of Polkton; his grandchildren, Abby, Maddi and Piper; his mother, Vernetta Susa of Dickinson, ND and his sister, Phyllis Runyan (Brian) of Monroe.

Craig enjoyed fishing and time spent with his goats and horses. He was always willing to help someone in need.
