Vester Ken Mr. Smith, Jr

Polkton - Mr. Vester Ken Smith Jr., 66, died Friday, November 23, 2012, at his home in Polkton, NC. Funeral services will be 3:00PM Sunday in Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Gerald and Mr. Henry Furr officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00PM. Interment will be 11:00AM Monday in Hillside Memorial Cemetery, Laurinburg, NC. Ken was born in Scotland County on April 11, 1946, a son of the late Vester Ken and Lucille Smith. He was married to the late Judy Fields Smith. Ken was retired from Parkton Nursery in Lilesville. Survivors include his children, Kenneth Dale Smith of Wadesboro, Keith Smith of Laurinburg, Kattie Smith Faircloth of Longs, SC, Kevin Smith of Lilesville; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and two brothers, Carirose Locklear of McColl, SC, Richard Smith and Billy Smith both of Gibson. Leavitt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
