POLKTON - Mrs. Virginia Liles Dunn Caudle, 88, died Tuesday,July 26, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center Union in Monroe. Funeral services will be 11:00am Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Polkton Baptist Church with Rev. John Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday in the church fellowship hall. Virginia was born May 15, 1928 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late John Wesley Liles and the late Lila Jane Preslar. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her children, Peggy Hildreth of Polkton, Joyce Kirbach of Texas, Kenneth Caudle of Mt. Croghan, SC, Richard Caudle of Polkton, Patricia Ponds of Peachland and Becky Chezem of Sanford; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Keith Caudle, children, Ronnie Dunn and Carolyn Wright and her brother and sisters, Milton (Son) Liles, Mildred Hasty and Norma Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polkton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 10, Polkton, NC 28135. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
