Wanda M. Ms. Gainey

WADESBORO - Ms. Wanda M. Gainey, 60, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Morven Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Whitlow and Rev. Clay Burr officiating. The family will greet friends 6:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, August 29, 2014 at Leavitt Funeral Home, Wadesboro and other times at the home of her brother in McFarlan. Wanda was born December 23, 1953 in Fort Meade, MD a daughter of the late R.C. and Ruby Lundy Gainey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Janice Gainey. Surviving are her brothers, Carlton Gainey of Charleston, SC, Ronnie Gainey and wife, Kim of McFarlan and Reese Gainey of Morven; her half-sister, Carolyn Brooks of Hartsville, SC and her nieces and nephews and their families.
