Wanda Brewer Mrs. Taylor

POLKTON - Mrs. Wanda Brewer Taylor, 44, died Thursday, March 19, 2015 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Sunday, March 22, 2015 at New Home Baptist Church with Rev. George Senter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service and other times at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Ellis Parker. Wanda was born March 6, 1971 in Union County, NC a daughter of Linda Davis Brewer and the late Ray Brewer. She was a 1989 graduate of Anson High School, had worked as a teacher's assistant with Anson County Schools and later graduated from South Piedmont Community College in 2004 with an associate's degree in medical office administration. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Lewis; daughters, Mallary Taylor and Katie Taylor; her mother, Linda Brewer; her sisters, Tammy (Ellis) Brewer Parker and Debbie (Randall) Brewer Bailey; and her nieces and nephews, Aaron Parker, Joshua Parker, Hannah Parker, Makayla Bailey and Gavin Bailey. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Lois Davis and Lloyd and JV Brewer. Wanda will be remembered for her tireless and courageous fight with heart failure. She often said her last eight years, were bonus years, and her two reasons for fighting so hard were her daughters, Mallary and Katie. Her love for her girls kept her going. She certainly fought the good fight of faith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mallary and Katie Taylor College Fund, % Lewis Taylor, 1562 Kiker Rd., Peachland, NC 28133.
