POLKTON - Mr. Willard Ray Westbrook, Sr., 74, died Sunday, October 13, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Hunter officiating. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home. Ray was born April 15, 1939 in Duplin County, NC a son of the late Lewis Andrew and Margaret Hill Westbrook. He was retired from Tom's Foods and a member of First Baptist Church, Wadesboro. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Rebecca Porter Westbrook of the home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ray Westbrook, Jr. and Jeannine of Asheboro and Dr. Neil Westbrook and Whitney of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Elizabeth, Shelby, Parker and Hadley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Westbrook, Jr. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 423, Wadesboro, NC 28170.
