William Bill Bagley

Mr. William 'Bill' Moffett Bagley, 75, died Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Deep Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Saturday, November 28, 2015 in the fellowship hall at Deep Springs Church and other times at the home. Bill was born October 18, 1940 in Rock Hill, SC a son of the late Louie Bagley and the late Lucille Hancock Bagley. He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and a veteran of the United States Navy. Prior to his retirement, he had worked in various management positions with Cuddy Farms, Color-Ad (Bostic) packaging and as an auditor and manager with Harris Teeter. He was an active member of Deep Springs Baptist Church, where he has served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, youth leader and choir member. Remembered as a loving and devoted husband, daddy and paw paw, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marie Austin Bagley of the home; his daughters, Page B. (Brad) Phillips of Cornelius, Roxanne B. Huffstetler of Tega Cay, SC and Nicole B. (Kevin) Smith of W. Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Jordan Phillips, Kennedy Phillips, Haley Huffstetler, Hally Huffstetler, Jessen Huffstetler and Jase Smith; his brother and sisters, Michael (Carol) Bagley of Savannah, GA, Margaret Ann Cathey of Chester, SC and Linda (Mack) Porter of York, SC. Also surviving is his Austin family, Mert (Sherry) Austin, Delores (Richard) Thomas, Hal (Linda) Austin and Marty Austin (Conway) Thomas all of Peachland and his many nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and brother-in-law, Charles Bagley, Bobby Bagley and Larry Austin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Deep Springs Baptist Church, 1908 Deep Springs Church Road, Peachland, NC 28133.
