William Major Bill Mr. Hildreth, Jr

WADESBORO - Mr. William 'Bill' Major Hildreth, Jr. 75, died Monday, May 18, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00pm Thursday, May 21, 2015 at North Wadesboro Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Helms and Rev. W.T. 'Bo' Treadaway officiating. A private interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm until 2:45pm Thursday at the church and other times at the home. Bill was born December 30, 1939 in Anson County, NC a son of the late William Major Hildreth and Ruby Keziah Hildreth. He was the second generation owner and operator of Hildreth Produce in Wadesboro. He was a member of North Wadesboro Baptist Church where he had served as Deacon and Sunday school teacher. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and produce, but most importantly he loved his family. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Shirley Mills Hildreth of the home; his sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Lisa Hildreth of Marshville and Steve and Amy Hildreth of Lexington; his grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew and Gabriel Hildreth; his sisters and brother, Joann Kime and Leon Hildreth both of Wadesboro, Linda Edwards of Lilesville, Freida Johnson of Locust and Christa Canipe of Morven. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Bill's caregivers, Omia Allen and Barbara Ledbetter for their help not only to Bill but Shirley, as well and to Hospice of Union County.
