Hamlet - Yvonne Carter, 55, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, June 5, 2017 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Anson Memorial Park. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at her mother's home in Rockingham. Yvonne was born June 16, 1961 in New Hanover County, NC a daughter of the late Wayne Vernon Carter and the late Nancy Carolyn Horne Carter. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughters, Lauren Carter of Lancaster, SC and Kasey Tarlton of Hamlet; her grandson, Pressley Poston of Hamlet; her sisters, Sybil Carter of Rockingham and Sabrina Furr of Albemarle; her half brother and half sister, Adam Carter and Skylar Carter both of Waxhaw and her aunt, Hazel Tucker of Greensboro. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
