Zanny F. Kistler

The obituary for Zanny Kistler is posted as a courtesy to the Kislter family. Zanny F. Kistler, 73, of Wilmington, formerly of Lilesville, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Zanny was born May 10, 1945 in Greely, Colorado to the late Robert F. and Gladys Vaughn Kistler. He was preceded in death by 2 younger brothers, Larry S. Kistler and Perry D. Kistler. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Faye Dean Kistler, formerly of Morven and a special cousin, Joyce Ray and husband, Don Ray. Also a daughter, Pamela Craig (Joseph), a granddaughter, Christina Craig, a grandson, Trent Kistler (Elizabeth), 2 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Owen Kistler. Zanny spent most of his life working in the grocery business, working his way up the ladder with Winn-Dixie. His last employer was Rushing Ent. out of Alabama. Zanny loved his church of God. He served in various capacities in Ogden Baptist Church. He was very caring and generous to many of the senior citizens and was honored as Senior of the Year in 2017. He was a graduate of Anson High School, Class of 63 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, Ogden Baptist Church, 7121 Market St., Wilmington, NC 28411 or Baptist Childrens Home of N.C., PO Box 338, Thomasville, NC 27361. A graveside service will be at Lilesville cemetery at the Kistler Plot on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00AM with Pastor Ricky Cox officiating. The family will be at 297 N.
